Over the border, down Mexico way

Crossed the border en mass with the Pleasant Revolution (http://www.pleasantrevolution.net/) Spent our first night in Tijuana at an amazing little school out in the sticks of Tijuana, the revolution gave a lunchtime concert for the kids. Tijuana competes with San Francisco in the hilly department, and loaded up with up to 200 pounds of gear (PA system, cello, drum kit, etc there was alot of pushing going on. but well worth it in the end.

A different LA.

I was expecting the worst when we started the ride through LA, but as it turned out cycling along the coast was quite a nice ride. I guess it's good to travel out of season.

Sunny San Francisco, obviously camera lens was fogged up...

Well after much consideration I have left the trail and caught a Greyhound to San Francisco, which was an experience in itself. Was just getting too much snow which as I have already discovered is not that much fun to ride in. I have been staying in SF with friends from Perth, Cambell and Liz who have now left for 5 months in Mexico, I am considering following them down there.Sour dough shaped

That Road Again - Downhill toward Pinedale

Hunters

Now thats just not fair! (A heard of captive Elk - restraunts are only allowed to source meat from farmed aminals)Camping around hunters... not a great idea, Elk legs just hidden in the bushes next to my tent. Still in bear country... I moved the tent... and that night i was visited by... a Moose, thank goodness, though he did have me going there for a bit. My can of bear spray sprung a leak just 2 days before; bear spray is super pepper spray for bears, like a small fire extinguisher (though it has the opposite effect).

More Wyoming

Grand Teton Nation Park, just next to yellowstone had some of the most spectacular mountains vistas to date. One of the newest mountain ranges with some of the oldest rock. Frosty plateau
Hmm looks familiar?

Snow bike = No bike

Brakes don't work, fenders cause wheels to lock up, cleats don't shed ice, low front panniers act as snow plow... but notice the extra padding on the saddle!

Like my tri bike rear wheel!

What more??
